Burglar dies while fleeing cops

It seems that cops did not try to catch him. What do you think about that ? Do you believe burglars should be shot like that or do you think the South African Cops should behave like UK Police (not armed, letting the burglars free) ?

They don't let them "free". They put up a chopper and scour the area - even for one guy. Burglars are the cause of much grief and putting one away prevents a huge spike in crime figures.

Really, people moan when these criminals kill and do the most horrific things, when cops start getting shyte done you moan about human rights.

Please if you rob a house and run from cops i am not going to shed a tear if you get shot.

and shooting him from behind you have more of chance of hitting his spine. That way if you don't kill him outright at least he will be paralysed for life! :D

Why run after a criminal when you can just gun him down? :confused: No need to break a sweat when you can just blow the scum away from a distance.

Good shot though! ;)

Agreed. If you weren't robbing the house in the first place you would have given the cops no reason to shoot you.

Nowhere does it state he was deliberately shot at. Only two warning shots. Strange indeed :wtf:

and i agree, next step, we as ordinary citizens must be given back our right to shoot to kill when there is broken into your/our house, if the guy didn't break into my house, i would never have shot them...

UK choppers have infra-red. Once that thing is locked onto you you're fooked, nowhere to run or hide. They love calling in their choppers. I was once at garage party in Oxford and the music got a bit loud and crowd was standing around in the streets drinking. Next thing a chopper was flying overhead and two Metro coppers blocked off either side of the road and well yeah, rest is history :D

agreed, all people of housebreaking worth to be shot and killed. :)
 
Whatever you do, if they get you and you run they should try and prevent you from escaping. Shooting should be the last resort though. And in crowded areas they should rather not shoot.:D
