Buying Blu ray discs...

Following this post:

There's maybe a dozen or so decent BD movies out there - across all regions A, B and C. The rest is the same garbage just 4x the pixels of the DVD version.

I'd like to know if anyone has a site or specifications one can review before buying Blu ray discs, I don't see any point in forking out for a Blu ray when the normal DVD version would look as good upscaled.

No offense, but that site looks dodge. They've got Fringe season two, Human Target season 1 and SGU season 1 for sale? Fringe has just completed airing and Human Target and SGU are still busy?

Firstly, why would I take offense? Secondly, as I said, I've used the site before. Thirdly, if you had gone into the details for the series you mentioned above, you would have seen that he has no release date available for them, so I'm guessing it's a pre-order thing. Also, I'm sure he would've told you that it isn't out yet.

Here's a test if you're uneasy about ordering from him though (the owner's name is Cliff - I've dealt with him before and he seems like a nice guy), email him and ask about those series. If he mails back and says that they're on pre-order only, and not for sale currently, you'll know he's legit.
