Buying new pre-paid bundle before current one expires

We tweaked this a bit more, so you can buy a new pre-paid bundle within your last 10MB of data on your current pre-paid bundle.

Thanks, although I would have preferred a level of more than 30MB to be able to buy - 10MB is very close to the out of bundle rates.

How about increasing validity periods for bundles bigger than 2GB, we do not get a cheaper rate for bigger bundles, so please consider longer validity periods for prepaid bundles.

I was down to my last 80 odd Meg`s and wanted to download XP sp3..335Meg`s..Went for a Gig bundle,held all my thumbs and downloaded..Bundle upgrade went weel and tx smooth with no out of bundle charges..Thanks V3g..
Id also vote for the last 80 to 100 Megs though..

Just though I would let you know that I was on 1.27mb and the system allowed me to add a new bundle.

At least this removes the problem with bundle lock.

Why not just buy 2GB bundles? They are cheaper and you have longer to use them. Vodacom would have to offer incentives if nobody used them.

Yep, all PPDBs are only valid for 30 days from the date of activation, I also don't know what Prometheus was on at the time of that post.

But if you buy just one 2GB first and buy the 2nd after the first is used up you get more usefull days.

Yes, 2 2GB bundles will be valid for 60 days where a 4GB bundle is only valid for 30 days, assuming you want to use it over 60 days. If not it doesn't make sense to want them to last longer especially considering they cost more.

I guess some people though would rather pay more than buy a few extra bundles.

So the one thing I was wondering here was what would happen to my 9MB of data which was due to expire soon. Since buying the additional bundle it survived the expiry date. I think it would be a great idea to either increase the 10MB limit or remove it completely. That way if your bundle is close to expiring and you know you are not going to finish it (or there is a network problem). You can simply buy a new bundle and increase its life by another 30 days.

That would have been a good temporary solution. With the 10MB limit specially selected I don't think that is what they want. We can forget about any form of roll over on bundles from Vodacom unless someone else provides it first.
