Cancel your bank account
I canceled my account in February to end on 31 March as I was heading for Europe for 6 months. Was that the end, don't you believe it. They took money again in April so I placed a stop at the bank (ABSA) and headed to Europe. Next month they made the DD and ABSA allowed it through. ABSA said "drop in at a branch and talk to us". But I was in London and there isn't a bus from Victoria Station to Cape Town. Then someone tried to access my bank account and locked me out of my online banking. They said "drop in at a branch to reset the pin". To cut a long story short, by the time I got home they had taken over R5000 from my account. iBurst denies receiving any cancellation. In hinds sight I would have done things differently. Although if I did have hinds sight I would have never signed up with iBurst.
