Can't live with Win7 anymore. Got hassles with my Plantronics USB headset and CS:S crashing so I'm going back to what works.

Get a new headset and stop playing CS, it's for grandpa's :p ;) :D

I still love my Win7 RC :)

Have XP, but only for gaming.
I find myself trying to browse my HDD's with XP and get nauseated and then reboot to Win7.

The pricing better be good in SA for Win 7 - I really want to buy it - but not going to break the bank on it.

They just need to fix that network activity animation icon...it drives me mad (thanks to Telkom again for making me so paranoid about my bandwidth).

Damn yeah, I have that exact problem as well, and it drives me up the wall on occasion.

+1 my XP still feels faster. especially for browsing around Hard Drives - and I like the ol' explorer WAY better anyway

i'll wait for the full release and give it another go though...

I fully agree!!

I absolutely HATE the new explorer in Vista.

anyone know of a "classic Windows Explorer" that looks & functions like XP's that could be used on Win7?

Win7's doesn't even show stuff like Total space left / total file size in the status bar - and the auto-sorting drives me NUTS!

anyone?

It's people like you who probably ask for fossils(usually it's fossils who ask for such changes) to be left in Vista/7, really irratating and people like you should move on with evolution. Total space of a drive is displayed. Unless you now want us to be populated with status bars with i.e. How many potential clicks you have left on an icon out of infinity clicks displayed.

I assume you guys are talking about the network icon flashing when data is being transferred? Well since Vista the icon doesn't do that anymore. You now have a Side Bar where you can dock object that gives you WAAAAY more detail than you would get from a flashing icon...

OK, so I select 4 ISO's - where can I check the size without needing to right click and go to properties?

How can I see how much Space I have left on the drive that i'm currently working without needing to go to My Computer?

WinXp Statusbar has it? why is the Statusbar in win7 there then, if it can't so me that info?

Why is this important?

well, if i'm copying stuff to a USB drive for example I want to:
1) See How much space I have left on the usb
2) See how big the files are that I want to copy. Copy them
3) See amount of space remaining on USB
4) See that the other files I need to copy is 100MB's more than the usb can handle
5) Select files on USB till I reach enough to delete, and delete them

you know how much effort it is to keep right clicking to get total file size or go to "My Computer" to see the total space left?

Yes, plenty of effort there, I get exhausted every time I do it

Anyways, you'll just have to get used to it. It was removed in Vista so fat chance it will be put back. Or you can keep on using WinXP until the day it dies like 98 and then you will have to get used to everything in anyways.
