Bye Windows 7 RC, hello Windows XP SP3

no seriously - it is hard work when my folder tree is open and there are 100 folders on the left!

Win7:
Scroll Up, look for My Computer, click My Computer, See Space.

WinXP: Look at Statusbar

Chris_H maybe you don't really copy a lot or something, but I'm swimming in files - after the 300th time it gets irritating. (almost more then the "auto sort" directly after creating a new folder)

There is a simple solution. Use the gadget bar, install an object that shows you drive space. When you need to see it press WinKey + g
 
thanx, but i'll try total commander....

I need my features, not work-arounds for removed features.
(Sorry, but i'm in explorer a LOT of the time)

I like Win7, but i'll wait for people to complain to microsoft, and they might bring some of the features back - hopefully before SP2.
 
kill you are aware PB works 100% in win 7 right?

Been running 7137 for over a month now and I haven't had a single PB problem.

Edit: one thing I do hate about win 7 is that if you have a folder with tv episodes from 1-10 and 10 ends up between 5 and 6, you can't just drag it and drop it behind 9, you have to rename it till it falls behind 9 :(

Say you are in D:\Work\Backup\ can you see that all those doc's in the Backup folder add up to 339 MB's, on the statusbar?

And when you are on the Flash Drive in F:\Work\Sync can you see that you have only 300 MB's remaining on the USB Stick, on the statusbar?

Nope - you can't, unless my statusbar was broken or something :p
- You would need to navigate to "My Computer" every time you want to check.
- You would need to select all files > right-click > properties to see the size of the files on D:\Work\Backup\
 
Really will try bf 2 this weekend and see, i found it works on some servers and others servers it does not.


Never actually even knew about status bar hehe, guess have been using vista/windows 7 for so long now :D

yeah - Create new folder in Directory containing 200 folders > let's rename it to something and go into it.

BAM!

whoops! Windows decided to move it FAAAAAAAR FAAAR away from where it just was - Now go look for it! haha.... *shakes head*

ah ok...so it's only on the NEW "fat" statusbar - I used the thin one :o

still doesn't fix the rest of the explorer bugs though :(

But use whichever operating system suits your needs best :)
 
Yea apart from pb issues games run very well on windows.

No punkbuster get your flippin arses in gear, it is not longer beta software!!!!!!!!!
 
Yup only on some servers, others i get the api error.

Not only me, it seems random though, as some servers work other you get kicked off. Tried every trick known to google :D

Even punkbuster have said they do not support beta and will not support it until the product is released and they know there is a problem on some servers.
 
Still running beta? :/ Thought you were running 7600 :p

Afaik PB is supported on windows 7 RC. I can play cod 4 and 5 with no problems what so ever.
 
I am running 7600

I am loading bf 2 up tonight i shall if the server kicks me. Google does not agree that the RC is supported

Tons of posts on how to fix it.
