Bypassing SAIX Transparent Proxy

Doesn't one bypass it when using an IS-based ISP?

well, yes, because you don't use the SAIX network anymore, and you would go thru IS's cache server, but... what's the point if its so much slower than SAIX anyway ? I would assume that if one could bypass the proxy, one woulnt need worry about getting capped,Yes????

If you're wanting to bypass it because of the constant IP change issue, there's a couple of ways around it. Honestly, the easiest method I've found is to configure their static proxy, which is cache.saix.net port 8080. When you do that, at least your requests come from the same address all the time, and then security checks that expect a constant IP will work.

Otherwise there's a tunneling system called JAP which works quite well as well. Things are a tad slower, but not too bad.
