Job description: Senior Software Developer.
Location or telecommuting: Anywhere in SA. Telecommute OK too.
Permanent or part-time: Either.
Junior, intermediary or senior: Senior.
Availability: One month.
Experience: Electronics, 30 years software development, from Basic, to Pascal, to C and C++. Experience in most areas, from low-level, almost-real-time systems, to prettified Windows forms applications. Wrote own TCP/IP stack. Poker (Hold'em) player and hand analysis.
Technologies: Windows, Multi-threading, TCP/IP, FTP, POP3, SMTP, HTTP, MP2, MP3, Image analysis, GCode, web scraping, web form submission.
About me: I am a mature male, looking for the next stimulating software project to get my teeth into. I like interesting, multi-faceted projects, where the elements include areas other than software. I am innovative and will happily experiment if the solution is not obvious.
What am I looking for: A software dev position where I will be given the problem and will need to come up with the solution.
