Hey guys. I'm wanting to do a Visual C# course and get a nice certificate at the end, something extra to put on my C.V. Any ideas of institutions where I can do this? It will be home study of course.

TIA.

Well according to Swa, an MCSD is better than a degree. So you could go that route?

A lot of online jobs (Gumtree, Jobmail etc) have MCSD as a requirement yes. I'll check it out.

LGIT in JHB is quite nice.
The lecturer specifically, Gideon Ongongo.

It seems very Microsoft dedicated and very expensive for an online course.

If you want to do the MCSD rather get all the material online and write the exams at an accredited institution. These distance learning institutions usually just sell you material at a hugely inflated price.

Guess I'll mention the obvious:

Don't go to CTI

If you're just writing and not learning would it matter?
They don't offer MS certificates from what I can see.

It's wasted money going there. I caution against them just in case OP or some stray googler comes across this thread and considers them.

You can't write your exams with them as all certified courses have external examination.
