Cable Management

Maybe one day we'll be able to buy these locally - I'm going overseas in a week maybe I'll bring one back from Ikea.

Can you bring another please. I need a 1.8m one.

PVC Trunking / Cable trays work great under the desk to keep the cables out of sight and organized. I dont know how much they cost (managed to get an offcut from work a few years ago) - need to get another one for my new desk.

The images you posted are commonly known as finger trunking over here I think. The other option is EGA trunking which is solid and all enclosed and what I use.

Yes, the standard enclosed trunking is definitely the way to go if you're pulling cables all the way through to the end.

If you do need to pull out / slot in cables half way across the length of the trunking, then the finger trunking works better imho. I stuck it on the underside of the desk, then had the monitor, power, speakers, USB cables etc coming out at various points as needed.

I run many devices of various sort (as evidenced by the lack of empty space on my multiplugs) so cable management is extremely important to me.

Fortunately my desk assisted me quite a bit in hiding the cables.

that's how it looks underneath

running three machines on this multiplug, as well as a charger, my monitors, router, voip and sound

then my "music" section of the desk also running multiple devices as seen below

and then the entire contraption I can move around with relative ease as only two cables come out of the desk, namely the power and data cable which you can see going into the trunking against the wall.

you can also see one of the machines mounted against the desk- except for the sub, there are no items on the floor as such
