Cable theft still a problem

They stole our power cables about a week ago. All was repaired in about 12 hours, as pissed off as I was, I was pretty impressed that it was repaired that quickly. The fireworks were huge though, they must of done something wrong. One of our neighbours saw 2 of the guys throwing a 3rd who was passed out into the back of their bakkie before they drove away. This make me feel a bit better about it :o:D

+1
May all these criminals/thieves burn for their stupidity.

why don't they look for alternate means to lay the cables, such as using methods Neotel and others did? or employ there own team of PI's to find these miscreants and put a stop to it?

Neotel uses fibre and wireless technology. They do not have a copper network.

They do but they can't be everywhere. Which is where cable is being stolen.:D

Okay but it would be good if they were able somehow get to the syndicates who do these things.

Telkom should replace copper with fiber infrastructure! Problem solved!
