Where can I report cable theft to ? I stay on a wine farm in Lynedoch, Stellenbosch and we've had three different incidents of cable theft in 5 days (three different locations - two along Annandale Road and one further inwards on one of the surrounding farms).

It's been reported to the police and armed response companies but no one is doing anything about it.

Telkom has up to now replaced the cables where the first cable was stolen on Saturday morning, and we've since then been without telephone & adsl.

Good luck with that.

We were out last night hunting the ****ers again when they were spotted trying to do the same thing for the umpteenth time, and actually caught one.

He just chucked the tools along the way and then you can do nothing to him. The police did not even want to arrest him.

This is causing us a lot of headaches as we are regularly without power for long stretches of time.

This is in the middle of a Pretoria suburb by the way.

I live in Wilgeheuwel and our lines have been stolen 4 times in last 2 months

I spotted that they were digging again last night
there is a big hole on side of road
I reported it to telkom and police so I hope they catch the bastards

not that sure
will see because the amount of money telkom loses every time is probably over R200000 for 300 meter section

Goodluck, they stole our telephone cables so many times that Telkom refuses to replace them!
