We have an iPad 6th Gen that has worked perfectly fine except for having a stupid 32Gb of memory but last night after being plugged in for the entire day, it refuses to boot up. It will not display that it is charging, on three different non-Apple cables and one Apple cable, the iStore couldn't get it to switch on and I have tried every Google'd method without luck. It is old but the battery was still OK from what I recall, anything else I can try or someone that can look at it?

I mean you can try do a restore via your Mac/PC but odds are if it doesn’t power on and even iStore couldn’t do it you are **** out of luck.

Most likely the battery has indeed died and breaks the power rail chain hence no joy on screen.

Probably not worth repairing.

I am hoping to find one of those guys out there that likes playing with these types of things, I once found a guy in Qwerberghea PE that saved an iPhone that had been dunked in a draught of beer. My wife bought a new iPad 9th Gen from the second and iStore so we have one for now and we'll see if insurance will cover at least some of the cost.

First the gate intercom, then the Netgear and now an iPad?

Sir, please step away from the tech. This is for your own protection.

Don't get me started, EL tripping, gate intercom, the Netgear that borked the entire Unifi network, the iPad, etc. and probably more I am choosing to forget  Much more and I am buying a farm without any technology at all.

I had an 6th gen iPad that went blank while watching Netflix and plugged into charger. Was stuck in recovery screen. Got some advice here on the forum that totally bricked it. At least the forum advice helped me save time not wasting it on a fix

What does recovery screen look like? Ours is just black, blacker than Sauron, not even the light of the Apple logo.

I hope you don’t have a pacemaker…
