One feature I liked a lot in windows 7 was the the calculator especially the worksheets feature thus I'd like to know do we have a similar/comparable app on linux?

Linuxmint, but still you haven't specified the equivalent calculator app.

No worksheets as such, but Qalculate! can do some basic financial calculations: https://qalculate.github.io
