Great that MyBB is keeping up awareness of this issue. The operators know the rates have to come down some time - their strategy is to delay this as long as possible. They are hoping that if they lay low, this storm will blow over for the meantime and give them time. They know the ICASA/Legal process could take months or even years, and they can mount court challenges to extend this for even longer.
Let's keep up the political and social pressure. It has to be so uncomfortable for the operators that they have no choice but to acceed to reductions. Initially these have to be reasonable in their view (90c is a good start), otherwise they will dig in and revert to going the legal route.
It will be hard to prove illegal collusion on interconnect rates as obviously MTN and Vodacom had to sit around the table in the beginning to agree between themselves on the rate.
