Calling Cybersmart Users - Internet down?

Having trouble browsing to any international and some local sites, page timeouts or takes a very long time to load. If I use account details for WebAfrica (SAIX pre-pay account) then I get no browsing problems which suggest Cybersmart's service is broken.

Anyone else?

Cybersmart consider Saturday's as out of hours support and I can't get hold of anyone on their after hours number, you have to SMS and they'll get back to you?
 
Hahahaha Its a joke the after hours number is 99% of the time on voice mail! It makes me sick. Im using the capXetender and downloading from the newsserver @ full speed. So local is fine not sure about international though :-)
 
Its unfair, we pay for this service and no one is there at their advertised support hours, and yes the mailbox is full? WTF is that about. They are open at 10.30am but they dont pick up and you get this recorded idiot saying what time the line is open, which is now but no one is there???
 
Yes dont waste your airtime phoning those numbers. If they answer I talked to a woman that didnt know what the hell im trying to say to her. Your best bet is email them [email protected] but they will only reply on Monday but by that time the problem is proberly sorted out
 
Thanks, I'll save my frustration then. It's shameful that I have to use WebAfrica to solve the problem.
 
Its really sickening and yes the only reason Im staying with them is cause of the low prices but Im really thinking of changing due to high pings/latency's . Its really bad 120m.s+ on local game servers during the weekend. Its bad

I don't think this problem is exclusive to Cybersmart.

Anyway, in the past, I've always found Cybersmart to be very jacked and really impressed with their service. But they've probably grown too fast to maintain it, as their service has been getting progressively worse. Pity.

I haven't had too much trouble with them, but I recommended them to some family (who switched from MWeb) and after a week of adsl working smoothly, everything stopped for a few days. During Cybersmart's troubleshooting, they managed to get the customer's phone line (and it was their business number) cancelled!
 
Well, unlike Telkom and Eskom and the ANC, you have a choice.
Cancel and use WebAfrica.
 
For every happy customer there's always an unhappy one. I think it's wrong to not provide support on a Saturday.
 
What a load of crap.

The frustrating thing is, I can access WoW Europe Forums, these forums, and nothing else.
 
Yes I think cybersmart is not bad at all but they have to many members to keep every one happy. But they give not bad service if you use the internet for downloading

Totally agree! I was also very impressed with their service when I changed 6 months ago from Telkom dialup (but then who wouldn't be after Telkom??). But over the past few months the international connection has been getting worse, and when trying to contact someone to find out if it's endemic or a local problem, all you get is voicemail.
Excuse me for being cynical but has the problem been getting worse since they introduced the extra package of cheap local bandwidth?
 
I had authentication problems earlier on but it seems to be fine now.
 
Don't know bout you guys, but this morning my international has just disappeared. Intl websites don't load at all, some of them only load half-way. Am I the only one on cybersmart experiencing this today ? Its really starting to peeve me off and if they dont resolve this by end the of next week, I'm changing ISPs.. :mad:
