highly recommend the camping spot run by SANParks in Wilderness. Absolutely tranquil and exquisite camping area on the river front, and should be about 3 hours drive from CPT: https://goo.gl/maps/HfOim

On a serious note, this place is stunning!

Like I said, never been there. I'm guessing it resembles Namibia somewhat.

My favourite coastal camps on the South Coast would have to be Palmietrivier, Gansbaai, Waenhuiskrans and Victoria Bay. They are in naturous, stunning terrain, and not resembling your typical municipal rugby field sprawl. But good luck getting space for your 2-man in season!!

It is. We really enjoyed our stay. I'd be concerned getting out if it was raining though (in a normal car)

Or on the other side of the mountain (I think) there's "22 Watervalle" next to Porterville, which is nice as well.
