Can i return meat that is horrible when cooked.

Keep cooking until it is Friday. If it is still kark, post this thread again for better results.

i only shop at PnP because of pure convenience and i must admit i am not 100% happy with most of their meats but im lazy so i just live with it
Then send me your meat cash and meat requirements/amounts and I'll buy and deliver for you..

Don't let being lazy rob you of quality meat.. you are missing out on life...

Support you local butcher/green grocer instead of supporting the thieving retailers that sell crrraaaap at bloated prices. Got into a huge fight with the manager at our local PnP with beef roasts that were on special one Saturday morning. I asked them to remove the added water to one I had selected and re-weigh and price it. Butcher said they could not. I insisted. They refused. I asked for the manager. Had words and eventually he told the buther to re0weigh nad it was R13 cheaper than before. So R13 for the added brine/water.

Was the meat the same grade you usually buy? I've noticed shops (which normally only sells A, A+ or A+++) also had some B packs.. quite easy to pick up a "lower" grade and their might be a difference.

Long story short, bought some lamb chops from super spar (yes I know, pnp has much better meat), braai'ed them as usual but yesterday they came out hard and tastless. Lightly pink in the middle so it wasnt overcooked.

They werent off but the end result was poor, if i got that meat in a restaurant I would have sent it back.

What rights do I have in this situation?

Don't know if you can return it, but braise an onion with some chillies, a bit of masala, grated tomatoes and salt, cook for 15 minutes and then toss those chops in...

We had a butcher over here. Decided to close the physical shop and online do online order/delivery. Maybe I'm "old school" but certain things I want to go and buy at a shop.
Do you perhaps know the name of the site? I have built and still maintain quite a lot of medium sized online meat distribution websites (mostly wild game) but a few small localized ones too. They do very well.

The wors and chops I've bought from this guy was bloody awesome. Never tried his mince though but was about to when he went online :/

You have no recourse, but it could definitely be some kak quality meat that Spar sold you, not your technique when cooking in. What cut of chops were they?
