Do you have any left raw? I bought a bunch of steaks from Checkers once. Braaied 2 of them, found it really bad. Took back the remaining 5 or 6, told the manager I cooked 2 of them but tossed them because they're gross. I was refunded on the spot, including the ones I tossed.

Interesting, I've never been to India, but I've only ever seen goat being referred to as mutton.

Yeah, was quite a surprise - tried it 2 or 3 times (me: "is this lamb"; waiter: "yes, yes sir, definitely not mutton, it is lamb" x 3) until I thought to ask one of the locals whether the "lamb" on the menu was "a young sheep or a young goat (having figured out that mutton could be goat or sheep)

OP's lamb chops must have been mutton chops from an old sheep ram and not from young lamb. Ram meat tastes horrible.

If one gives me the choice between genuine Namibian Boerbok and Karoo sheep, I will take the boerbok every time. If that's not available a Damara sheep also from Namibia will do as second best.
They both have a better taste than the soutbos sheep from the Karoo.

My view is that if you don't ask you don't get. I learnt that from a friend years ago and it turned out to be a life lesson in all aspects of life. Not just returns. She has taken perishable stuff back to, in fact Spar close to her, and they replaced it for her with something else. Last time was a week or so she went back with the slip for a French loaf, half eaten and told the manager that it is not the first time she bought the same article that is stale. He immediately gave her the same value in fresh bread rolls.
So, life lesson I now keep my slips in the kitchen and has a few times returned packets /pannets of fruit, one or two eaten, for a refund.
