Can someone from MTN please help me..

I am at a loss of words.

I officially ported to MTN 1 week ago.
Yet, the sim card I was given says "sim failed to register".

I phoned the helpdesk 5 times only to be told "Wait 24 hours aqnd it will work - I assure you"

I have driven 10km to the Service Center at Northgate 5 times.

The problem is that the number is not 'activated'

I must have this port complete and functioning by the 14th of this month. Else, I will have to pay Voda'con' for another month (since I am unable to cancel before the 15th).

Please. I beg any MTN person to assist me. I have spoken to many a consultant only to be promised '24 hours sir' - yet after 7 days, nothing.

Please can someone help me?

Hi. when u are wanting to deal with problems of that serious level i would say that you should contact the head of a department. i had similar problems when i first joined the contract network and after some searching got hold of one of the MTN bosses in JHB. i explained my problem and he told me that he would make sure the problem was dealt with and the next day my phone started working.
 
I'm having the exact same problem, except I been waiting 2 weeks for the sim to be activated. I've posted 2 complaints on hellopeter.com and have been in contact via email with 2 MTN reps for the last 2 weeks and am still waiting.

There is a level of incompetence prevalent at MTN that is embarrassing to say the least. Bottom line is they simply don't give a fark..

PM me the following:
Cell Number that you ported in to MTN?
Sim number as it appears on the Sim given to you by MTN?
An alternate contact number?
