Ok i found that if you leave the country on america it works but on south africa it says not available

OK, i am in full swing with my studies for rhelsa cert.I am looking for a exam place.Where is the cheapest to get certified in about 8 months time.

Remote online exam or Torque IT are your only choices. Cost is standardised.

I’d suggest Torque IT as they’ll have reliable hardware, internet and power.

Easiest is to check through the RedHat website.

But also see post above. Torque IT easiest option in Cape Town.

That sounds a bit wild but also everything is mad with the USD/ZAR.

I seem to remember it was R3500 or so in the past.

It's $380+- in ZA with VAT included.

Rand/Dollar has screwed cost drastically.

@SauRoNZA TorqueIT are the only licensed RH vendor / testing centre in ZA - they also don't do on-site's for some exams anymore - due to the fact that you can now do some remotely e.g. RHCSA / RHCE can be done remotely now.

The only nice thing nowadays (given the shitty exchange rate) is that you get a free retry - before you didn't. It was fail, tough luck, school fees :X3:)

Guessing Covid ****ed that up.

You could do it remotely way back but needed a hundred webcams and a clean room and all sorts of kak which is why I went to sit it at Torque IT rather.

380 and 400 those numbers are the same in my eyes.I mean 20 dollars gwd damn.Thanks guys for the helpful inputs as i do really appreciate it.Stars all around.I am still at Linux fundamentals but nearing the end of that this weekend.Monday i start with user groups and management, that is gonna be interesting.I must say i have learned alot but i am struggilng with one section and cant get the hang of it........the tar command .
Everything went smooth but i hit a block with this lesson.i went over it twice but its a headbanger remembering things like this/

Then its the zip format also and the other compression types.This is hell on earth, but i will treat this as a history in school, memories it over and over.

Man is your friend.

If you get stuck in the exam you have full access to man and pinfo for reference so you can just do “man tar” or “pinfo tar” to check.

why could there not be a standard version of tar,i mean just do .zip now its more complicated.Why is this, compression is compression right as i understand.Of all the lessons on redhat this tar command thing is something i cant grasp.The man pages will help alot thanks, kinda massive cheat sheet.

What are you grasping?

Tar is an archive tool and it can do various things in various methods.

You can do a couple of different versions of zip with it.
