Can you use BIS on Android?

Hi

My daughter had a Blackberry but has switched to Android. She now uses the Blackberry app on Android. I checked that she is still paying for the BIS service (R59pm - MTN) on her contract. Should she cancel this service or can she use it on the Android app? If possible how?

No she can't use BIS on Android. She should cancel the BIS service and get a data bundle.

You don't need BIS (BS) for BBM on Android. Just get a monthly data bundle. Android loo over data.

My contract comes with 5 GB mobile data...

As the others have mentioned you should cancel BIS on her contract. Since she is on MTN contract why not head over to Afrihost and take them up on the mobile data offers? With an MTN contract you can simple bolt Afrihost's mobile data onto the contract sim and get some decent data for a very reasonable price.

Unfortunately BIS only works on BlackBerry smartphones - please advice your daughter that data is expensive and she should use it when she needs it.
