Cancelling cellc contract.

Hi , please can someone advise if they have experience in these.

1.My contract expires on the 16th of Jan , mid month. i have requested that it be cancelled and converted to prepaid, when does this conversion happen, month end or mid month and when will the last debit order be?.

2.This is how my cell nos is made up , its originally a vodacom nos ported to cell c prepaid , and then converted to a contract. Now that the contract expires, i wanna go back to vodacom prepaid, any ideas what do i need to do, will this be simple as when it converts to cell c prepaid i port back to vodacom prepaid ?

3. And final question, i have an iphone 5 which i received on the cell c contract, are these phones network locked ?, since once i go to prepaid i wanna go to vodacom so will the iphone work?

Many Thanks,

Hi ramludh

Notice for cancellation is required should you want to proceed with cancellation. In an event that you have already submitted notice, your contract should be cancelled on the 16th January 2014.

For further assistance please PM your Cell C number in question and we will gladly assist.

Hi
Can someone advise me please. I have a Cell C contract that has not expired (will still be a while). My Blackberry got wet when I was caught in a rainstorm and it died permanently. I am currently using an old phone of my husband's. Does the contract include insurance and would it cover water damage? Also, I hated the phone, do I have an option of replacing it with a different make of more or less equal value?
Regards

Anyone? How come the Cell C bloke responds to "certain" members so promptly and I am ignored? I suspect bias.

Hi bokdrol

Cell C contracts don't come with automatic insurance, PM your number so that we can check if yours is covered with us. In an event that you are insured with an external company, we strongly suggest that you should check with them and verify their terms and conditions. Some insurance companies replace handsets based on the value as such you can choose any handset of your choice as long as the handset is within a particular value which was approved.

Dear Cell C Rep
I would really appreciate assistance. My contract has expired but the notice period I gave when covering to prepaid overlaps the contract end date by a few days. They have allocated more minutes and data for this month but the customer services rep said if I used anything I would pay for it. They seems to have a habit of making minor charges when I haven't done anything to warrant it.
Is this the case? Surely if they are free minutes I should receive prorata allocation until the 11th.

Also although the contract has expired and I and in the grace period I have unused minutes from last month. May I use them?

You help would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Gilla

Hi Gilla

Whatever benefits that you have remaining from last month, have already been paid for.

These are yours & you have every right to use them.

You will be charged a pro-rata amount for the current month.

We hope this answers your question.
