I am cancelling rain for a 1TB package from other network provider, rain really suck they are throttling speeds I mean i have full reception (RSRP 94dB) and am on home unlimited but i cant even get 10Mbps i get like 1,2 to 6Mbps , when am on vpn its worse less than 1Mbps. the customer service does not exist you have to rely on FAQs, last year i was charged money 4 god knows what i ended up paying R1150 to be connected i again.

You are absolutely right, Rain does throttle, they started throttling me a month and a half ago because the tower got to congested. I had 200mbps for more then a year and now I am throttled at 100mbps..

exacly and now there are options like 500GB ot 1TB options from network providers who will give u hight quality internet connection, and I even if you are a high bandwidth data user 1TB is enough 4 even the heaviest data user, tried CellC the other day and it givve me 40-50Mbps consistently indoors without external antenna and on the 1800 band.

Good on you for voting with your wallet.

the fact that you can't even give people a mear 10Mbps I mean a 10Mbps and you want them to pay you exacly R479 and not R200 or R300

Ok … so let’s be honest we all no rain isn’t just a plug and play network or some of us gets decent speeds while others don’t …

but can’t we try helping you instead or tell us what router or whatever the case may be or the reason why you have slow speeds … rain does help if you reach out to them …

so it’s either we help you or you move to a other network it’s simple …

i know what they gonna say or ways of improving LTE signal already...try 2600 band and external antenna...but do i really need all that for just to get my 10Mbps i pay for? really? i can get a 10Mbps on any network on LTE on a phone that should easy, i understand if 30Mbps is advertised and i get 20Mbps or even 15Mbps due to congestion.

WTF....? what the hell are you downloading, it takes approximately downloading 1.3GB an hour to finish 1TB in 30 days.... i am really curious.
Not really downloading. 4k streaming accross 8 devices adds up pretty quickly.

True .. don’t expect you to do all of those things but if you take extra leap I think it’s worth it …
