Sometimes quick is better for them, pain-wise. I am sorry though.Passed last night. That was quick![]()
I agree. The other guy I knew fought for a year but I am not sure how that life was. Maybe just that little extra time with his daughters.Sometimes quick is better for them, pain-wise. I am sorry though.
Eish. Glad it is treatable man.Just found out about a nephew with Leukemia. He is 10. Doctors seem to think its treatable at least.

I've been coughing since May. GP says my lungs sound fine. I went in to hospital in May and they did a chest xray, and didn't pick anything up. I'm not convinced there isn't something wrong in my throat/whatever else is in between my mouth and lungs, but I don't even know what to do about it. I don't want to go through the whole hospital experience (and whatever else is needed to get admitted) just for nothing to be wrongCorrect, it's one of those that you won't notice until it gets into the final stages. Most of the time it's like a wet cough or a chronic throat clear or irritation, when they pick it up it often too late.
Also depends on the person, some people leave it thinking it's nothing - people go off to the GP, think it's a bit of flu or laryngitis.
Get a second opinion on the coughing from an ENT specialist. Lots of things it could be - most of them harmless.I've been coughing since May. GP says my lungs sound fine. It could be acid reflux. And it takes a while before you see the damage it does.I've been coughing since May. GP says my lungs sound fine. If you're up in Gauteng, it's more then likely pollution. Does it go away after rain?I've been coughing since May. GP says my lungs sound fine. I honestly can't tell. It's random. If you're up in Gauteng, it's more then likely pollution. Does it go away after rain?
That doesn't sound pleasantI honestly can't tell. It's random.
It's a nasty cough as well, but better than how it started. I would cough and cough and try get air in because my throat would close up. I was admitted to hospital for RSV. It's now 5 months later and still coughing. Throat still closes up at some points, but a lot less.
Anyway, done derailing
So good news. He has the most common type. Acute lymphoblastic Leukemia. For kids under 15 the chance of survival and cure is over 90%. At specialized centers like the place he is being treated its closer to 98%. Huge sigh of relief. Still hard road ahead but that is at least good news.Just found out about a nephew with Leukemia. Could even be a sulphite intolerance, I’ve had a cough for ages and it went away when I stopped drinking red wine. Many possibilities, not necessarily cancer.I've been coughing since May. It's like the other day when I went to the loo, luckily the wife told me I had eaten beetroot the night before...Could even be a sulphite intolerance, I’ve had a cough for ages and it went away when I stopped drinking red wine. Many possibilities, not necessarily cancer.

Sorry bad joke, but yeah it might be something else, especially if they cannot pick up anything on their side.
