Cannot get fibre installed

I placed an order for fibre on the 17th January and an agent got back to me saying that my area is not fibre ready. An agent got back to me confirming that the address was incorrect but it’s still not ready in the correct address, however all of my neighbours have fibre installed. I contacted Vumatel directly and Afrihost and both have said that my area will only be fibre ready in June which is wrong. After numerous calls and emails it is still not resolved. Please advise @AfriNatic @Afrigirl when it will be.

It is possible that the area does not have spare fibre currently and a capacity upgrade needs to be completed.

Feedback from Vumatel:

Please be advised that Richmond/Fairfield POP cannot handle any new installations; hence, the POP will be placed on hold for new installations. This is because new installations increase the amps of the electricity to a point where the pop will drop and lead to an influx of tickets. We are currently awaiting the upgrade of the electricity from a single phase to three phases, which will eliminate this problem as soon as the three-phase is implemented.
Unfortunately, no estimated time of completion or implementation is available for the 3-phase electricity.
