Cannot log into Games for Windows LIVE

Hi

When trying to log into Games for Windows LIVE I get this message:
There is a problem with your account that you need to resolve before singing in
[80154017 error]

There is a link that says "click here to resolve" which takes you to the Xbox live log in page. I log in and it takes me to the home screen - which doesn't help me at all.

Can anyone help me in trying to get GWL to work?

Have you ever used it before?

If not then it's simple - you signed up with your territory being South Africa (unsupported by Windows Live.) I'd suggest signing up again and pretending you're from the UK.

And no, MS have no plans to ever support ZA, at least not any time soon. And no, you cannot play those awesome multiplayer games that you spent your hard-earned cash on without pretending to live in the first world.

P.S. This also means you can't upgrade to a gold account since your billing address will remain as though you reside in the UK. But at least you'll be able to play your games without certain features being locked :)
