Hi

I am trying to host a site from a computer connected via Vodacom. I have enabled the "unrestricted" APN. I have managed to run "Log-me-in" to this computer, so data is sent from the computer on to the internet.

I am now trying to run a web server. I have set up a simple web page running on IIS. When I type in the website (going through DynDns) I get no response.

When I type in the Url directly I also get no response.

I have tried to ping the URL with no luck

I have also used TRACERT to the URL. I end up at the vodacom router: VC-196-207-47-22. At this point it does not allow me through.

Have anyone done something similar and got it to work?

Any Help would be much appreciated.

Open a CMD prompt on the system while it's connected and do an ipconfig. What is the first number of the IP address?

Have you checked on dyndns if your IP is registered under the correct URL?

Ping RE: ipconfig

Hi

I have run the ifconfig command:

results:

Ethernet disconnected

PPP adapter Bluetooth Connection

IP Address 41.192.81.55
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.255
Default Gateway 41.192.81.55

I am connecting at the moment through a Sony Ericson K700i via bluetooth, hence the above.

I have alway updated my host ip at DynDns to point to the ip adress assigned after I connect as the ip adress changes every time I connect.

Thanks

Willem

Your Windows firewall is turned on. Turn it off or enable port 80 (http)
traffic

Thanks

Thanks

I tried it and my Ping works. I can not get the website behind it yet, but that will come.

Many thanks

Willem
