Cannot send mail..anyone else?

I have not changed anything or gotten any virus...just suddenly cannot send mail..can receive ok, no problemo.. and every couple of hrs I may get it to send mail..anybody having the same hassles??

What smtp server setting is your email client application set to use?

I`m using a yahoo.co.uk address.. smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk I tried smtp.mail.vodacom.co.za but it did the same..Really confusing...

smtp.mail.xx.xx.xx is not a typical smtp server address. Normally it's smtp.xx.xx.xx (and mail.xx.xx.xx for the pop3/imap server).

While you have to use your own pop3/imap server for downloading mails, you normally must use the bearer network's smtp server.

So use smtp.vodacom.co.za and Bob's your uncle.
