Cannot send SMSs to 5 digit numbers

Hi. I suddenly can't send SMSes to 5 digit numbers. I have an iPhone 6. I used to be able to send SMSes to these numbers, but now it says "not delivered". I have not changed my contract. I called Vodacom, and they said they have never heard of that happening, and that if I can send SMSes to normal numbers, then I should also be able to send to 5 digit numbers. Anyone have this happen before? Thanks.
 
How many different 5-digit numbers have you tried sms'ing?

Yeah I just figured it's the number that's no longer in service rather than there being a problem sms'ing.
 
There are a few different ones. The one I often use is the DSTV Box Office one. And now I am trying the home affairs number for passport application updates. Also tried the one for checking your voting registration.

sms? Whats that?
 
Same problem here. Since upgrading my Vodacom contract I cant send sms to shortcode (5digit) numbers, eg. like renting a movie on Boxoffice.
