Some rumour sites had different specs but the camera has since been announced and 11 it is.

With a MSRP of $2,099.00 it's only $100 less than the 5DMk2.

That makes no sense.
So a entry level DSLR like the 650D (9 cross-type AF points) has a better autofocus system than a camera costing more than double the price?

I suspect the development lifecycle of the 650D is much shorter.
