Hi everyone, first time publishing a thread for help
I cant connect with my 8ta sim card on my cell modem, its model is CS-19
It has the Nokia internet modem program on it to connect, i can connect mtn sim cards on it and cell c and vodacom
It shows the 8.ta that i can connect it, but when i click connect itndoesnt go further and shows error as follows :
Connection failed!
Please check with your operator that your sim card us activated and your subscription has a data option. {I bought it from telkom as a Data sim card and have used it before with a other modem that is stolen now}
Please check that your connection profile matches your subscription.. {ok not 100% sure what this means but i went to setting and found internet connection>connection profiles>new>south africa and found no 8ta there.......}
Please unplug your device and then plug it in again..{done that}

I tried the 8ta connecting program...it doesnt even see my device..
I tried the vidafone broadband aswell, same story, cant find device...

Ok well i found a resolution...although i did try it aswell, but i had to wait 15min or so for it to work.
For anyone who has this problem aswell.
Close all your connecting programs if u have installed.
Go to control panel>network and sharing>set up a new connection>set up dial-up connection then next
Dial-up phone number: *99#
Username : leave open
Password : leave open
Connection name : whatever ull like it to be

Then create and try and connect, if it doesnt connect first time
Wait 15 min, if still nothing, restart computer
