Your operating system?
I think you need to open up Folder Options(Control Panel) and unhide the "System Hidden" files as well. They are "superhidden" files/folders and are labelled as "Hide protected operating system files" under Folder Options. You need to untick that box.

Just the first one (system files). You can't super-hide something without the command line and I doubt he did that.

You can, but not in XP, only in previous operating systems(that's why I asked which operating system he is using). Before, you could right-click a folder and select "System" and then if you made that a hidden folder as well, it would be a System-Hidden folder. In XP, you need to use the "attrib" command in the command line prompt. Eg: "attrib +S +H myfolder"
To remove it, simple type "attrib -S -H myfolder"
The ability to right-click a folder in XP and make it a System folder is not possible.

You shouldn't Hide your pr0n that way.... there are better ways to do these things....

What you can do is use the search and search for all files within that folder.

while it's searching click Stop>, then <Change whether hidden or system files are included> and then search again

this will bring up all the hidden files in the directory...
I had the same problem you have on an old pc a friend had, and this is how we accessed the files :)

The PC I use at college gave me this problem a while back. For some reason we discovered that it was caused by a virus.

Do what the guys have suggested and afterwards I would suggest format and reinstall

Perhaps a virus or something as pween'd ur registry. Start, Run, Regedit, Current user, software, microsoft, windows, explorer, advanced, hidden, play with the values in the showall and nohidden keys.

Hope I got the hierarchy right
