My DC++ just keeps sayting "connection reset" on 9/10 hubs i'm *trying* to connect to... any ideas? and when i do connect *briefly* no downloads take place?

As per my original post, i think they are packet shaping. In fact, all P2P seems to be screwed.
they are packet shaping, however it doesn't screw up all p2p, just popular stuff that uses specific ports, switch to torrents and learn how to use it effectivly since they can't really throttle torrents (well they can throttle it to a degree but there are many ways around it) also use p2p that allows downloads from multiple hosts at once so even if they throttle to 1KB/s you can connect to 100 hosts and get 100KB/s. Another great trick is to use socks proxies, ones with encryption are even better, since they can't packet shape encrypted data especially when it looks like its coming from HTTP or HTTPS.
