I reinstalled Windows on my laptop a few weeks ago and never got round to activating it online during the 30 day 'trial' period. I need it tomorrow for my trip so I boot it up, realise this and figure I'll have to do it over the phone. The first number they provide for SA 'doesn't exist' and the second gives a pre-recorded message about the number having changed. I dial the 'new' number but there is no answer; also as if no such number exists.
I then look on their website for a number in SA to call, and eventually, after much hunting find one. I dial it but it gives me the message 'number invalid'. I don't know what the problem here is, but I need this machine for my trip tomorrow and I don't have time for Microsoft's lack of customer service.
I don't give a sh*t about their anti piracy stuff. But for the record, mine is a totally legit copy but now I'm rewarded my having to waste my time when I'm very busy. They don't give a damn about their 'African' consumer base to provide decent service but they want to prosecute people here for pirating their software?
If anyone can help me sort this out, it's much appriciated.
