Mega billows of smoke that I can see here from Century City.
Looks like either Ysterplaat, Brooklyn or Maitland.

huh! huh! who spelt my name wrong? been here whole day except fleamarket for about an hour or so early afternoon. we've seen nothing.

edit: smoke coming from maitland side maybe interchange but not sure, my bucket has a hole in it otherwise i would have sent my wife running down there with some water.

If it's a CITY fire, then I don't go... that means, properties and such, but if it's near mountain areas and such, then I'll go...

I'm sure I've mentioned this before ;)
 
No mention in this thread about the fire on Signal Hill eh...

Well, VWS is there... doing their thing... I'm dressed and ready for call out but the chopper is having all the fun :(

Yeah, is it a big one? Seen four fire engines go by already and the chopper is low and LOUD.
 
This is the 2nd time the chopper has come and gone.

I think this 2nd time was a flare up.
Chopper did what... 5x drops and went back to base.

It's dead, but I'm going to 'assume' that VWS members will stay into the night so they can monitor and do mop up.

Sucks I am not there... all I can do is watch - for now ;)

Another fire this morning on Devils Peak, I can't see squat or smell anything, but we have got our call outs, I'm not on duty (only from tomorrow) - sucks to be me!
