Fire between Ysterplaat airbase on railway verge and Ratanga Junction. Of course, not a firefighter to be seen.

Left this morning for a fire at Sandkop Valley (near/in Pinehaven)

I was there from 3:40am.

It was a hectic fire... not my first, but definately the most hectic one so far.

Before anyone posts anything about the smoke and such that is currently covering CPT - here is the story:

"Constantiaberg dump - made heaps of smoke. People keep phoning in the smoke - has TMNP staff scrambling all over checking, but no fires outside city perimeter."

There is a fire on signal hill currently, it is basically in range of CTFES (Cape Town Fire and Rescue) so they'll probably kill it shortly - however, I've let my 'team' know that there is a fire and should it spread (which it won't - thanks CTFES!), we (VWS) are ready to and kick ass!!

Yes, I know about the fire near Kenilworth Racecourse and there are a few others too!

FDI is high for today and I am ready to tackle any fires that I get called out too.
