I remember them talking about something like that.
More autonomy is one of the steps toward full independence. I'd prefer to see autonomous provinces than new states split off from the country. Italy and Spain have a few autonomous regions that basically function as their own sub-countries.
Edit: Okay it seems regional autonomy is a bit of a spectrum

Sure, but with a corrupt government as we have currently and have had for three decades, how will that be achieved, they'll never allow it because, then how would they manage to syphon off billions then, it would be waaaaaay harder and more complicated, whereby now it's Easy peasy lemon squeezy...

Yep but I can't recall exact details (also getting older
) , as is often the case Lex would know.Think it was them going back on their promises re tabling the Federal argument supposed to be presented to parliament.
