Dead thread then I guess.. we await Phil's post-holidays revival

And this secession poll is as wonky as the actual notion itself. I assume it's allowed by the forum software, but normally a poll allows one proposal or question to be voted for only, so you can see which has the largest support out of a 100% total.

This poll currently adds up to 206%??

@Grant - complaint about your / our poll idea ^^

Well, I suppose this is more open than a report..... ;)

If you read properly, it's not a complaint about the poll as an idea. It's that a poll should add up to 100%, so one can see the majority view. Summing to 206% (at present) is not the norm.

But I see what Grant is saying now in his subsequent post.

See what an informative response can do?

complaints dept -->

a poll can be a single, or series of questions.
current software here only allows for one question.

so, lets call it a survey then

Can you not specify in the poll itself then that folks must only answer one of the questions? Would make the results cleaner, I reckon.

No, it's designed to be multiple questions. Each has a value.
Are you done, or need more answered? Could have sworn this much was obvious

Sorry to be a nit-picker, but the poll is also a bit contradictory, and biased towards a secession vote. For example, for the reasons you stated, it doesn't have a yes no option, so it seems that the only way to vote against secession is to choose the "I disagree with all questions".

But the Swiss canton (i.e. Federal state) concept is one I could endorse, but that does not mean it's a vote for secession.

Swear away, but read above - it's not that obvious, Mr. Vendetta :)

And the question wasn't directed at you, Captain Obvious.

Also fairly obvious that ticking the poll choice is agreeing.

Careful now, more than another response and you might be considered derailing.. just a thought.

Read my question properly, and stop derailing with your impotent threats.
