Ah, thread resurrection I see.

I'll join in with a Friday limerick:

There once was a fellow named Phil
Whose wins with secession were nil
When the need was for speed
There was just tumbleweed
His mom should have swallowed the pill

If you don't see that this topic comes down to individual liberty, that does not by itself mean it doesn't. It means the concept may simply be unusual/new to you. (If you treat something unusual as though it's therefore necessarily invalid and hence shouldn't be heard/tolerated, that is just the kind of narrow-minded knee-jerk that we should all shun if not actively call out).

Didn't expect to see this angle again, Lex. You don't seem able to accept that what happened wasn't necessarily due to a report, nor comprehend that the Mod here isn't likely interested in such an approach as above - the topic is clear, and that's usually quite well followed in the very busy news section.
Personal belief, no matter how noble (or even factual) doesn't change the public forum reality, and as we all know it's a highly volatile section. I won't be here to see you go down again.

As you know personally don't like the misuse either (which anything can become). If you recall, many have said similar.
There will be no further response

If you feel an itch to report someone because you don't understand how their argument is relevant, ask for clarity. If there is no record of you asking for clarity, you need to get out of the kitchen for a while.

vigras your brilliant wit is wasted .... why bat for open-competition-averse central-planners, who hate freedom of association?

p.s. Haaaaaang-oon..... you think PC is going to deny the next round of secession post-Cape Independence, don't you?

Ha! One step ahead of me.... I'm sorry I doubted you.... although, it's a necessary step to take to make secession more than merely hitting the reset button on the Globalists Rainbow poster-child.

Yet another mybb poll showing a majority(58%) broadly support Cape Independence. This is not even polling for referendum-only support.

It's also polling people all over South Africa.... who, in the case they reside outside the WC, clearly at least think they wouldn't be hurt by having the Cape secede, and may even benefit from having an example of what is possible, economically... one that would put the old Rainbow Nation's govt to shame and pressure it to finally ditch its racist agenda and implement reforms that more closely align with the concept of equality before the law.

Well, the whole CI subject etc... is still intriguing.

I'm sure @lexity @Grant and yourself etc... will still visit and engage on this thread as new updates and news get released regarding CI :) :) :)

Yes, but I'll be in low key mode now. Still interested but no longer a believer (too little of practical value being undertaken), and not interested in forum-behaviour politics which is prominent here - they've lost their entertainment appeal.

For the record
I like some Libertarian concepts but can't see the practicality on the whole. Certainly our world is neither (yet) willing nor (yet) able to leap into the realms of a true free market experiment, and certainly that is not a consideration (made public anyway) by Phil, the VF+, or anyone else publicly known that's gunning for secession.

i'm always lurking in the shadows

Geordin Hill-Lewis, putting himself up as a candidate for DA party leadership, is ominous for the Rainbow Nation.

I expect it will be ominous in the short-term for CI, too, because of the false hope that usually accompanies changing the names in a failing system.

Like street and city name-changes, they are merely meant to distract from the fact the formula isn't changing, and that you can expect more of the same failures.

The only change would be an accelerated spiral, since GHL is economically illiterate, and can only be depended on to facilitate and roll-out the Epstein class's long-term agenda for SA,

Trump's ongoing capitulation to the US Neocons, means the CIM's recent internal coalition, should realise that US support would come with strings attached.

Those strings would likely involve acquiescence to the Epstein class's original agenda for South Africa.

The continued degradation of the concept of Democracy limited by a BoRs (*).

* Where that BoRs can only be voted on subject to the right to referenda on independence.

Epstein class' agenda - now there's a well deserved phrase. But can beggars be choosers? Not if the political route is the desired direction.

Purity on this planet is a myth.

No South African can afford to sit on their hands at this stage.

Try to come up with some potential solutions.

Forget the naysayers, nitpickers and knuckle-dragging pests. They have no courage.

I have to admit the greatest threat to the NDR(which the GNU is facilitating by default), imo, is the success that Sakelige continues to have in the courts.

The most recent example relates to suspension of the NHI....

In a significant development in Sakeliga's case against the National Health Insurance Act (NHI Act), the Pretoria High Court has ordered that the Minister of Health and the President are prohibited from proclaiming or implementing any provision of the NHI Act until the pending public participation challenges against the Act are resolved.

This order emanated from an agreement between the parties and incorporates key provisions of a conditional counter-application that Sakeliga brought in October 2025.

Background...

p.s. Can anyone explain why this hasn't been in the news, on mybb?

If Cyril commits to supplying troops on the ground, in support of Iran, how many, here are ready for the call up?
