Capitec system upgrade zeroes balances

Anyone else find that their Capitec account balances had gone to zero this morning?

Received a payment early this morning and the new available balance was R0. Checked the app and that showed the same balance, with another R14 000 000 000 000.00 (really that number!) in unprocessed payments, although the account detail page showed a correct balance.

Called the call centre ("high volume of calls") and the operator told me that an upgrade had gone rogue, and they were working to fix it. Told me not to use my card at ATM or merchants, because it would fail.

Still not fixed.

Just used the app, balance is correct. I also got a message saying that Vodacom, MTN and Cell C users are not charged for data to use the app anymore.
 
MTN users aren't charged for data to use the app because MTN data isn't working!

Balance fixed on app, but "insufficient funds" wherever I try now. Was about to fill up the car, but stopped at ATM first - that would have been a big problem otherwise! Airtime topup doesn't work either.

Stopped at Capitec branch and they say they can't help customers with cash withdrawals, even though they can verify funds there.

RE: Charged for data, I presume normal T&C's apply that you must have a positive balance.

Haven't tried to use my card yet.
 
My accounts look fine. Still saying over +R2 000 000 in each of the 4 accounts. Phew. :D
 
Finally working, but only after I tweeted them asking for the CEO's email address. Suddenly it was "PM your contact details".
