Greetings,

I have spoken to quite a few ppl and according to them there IS a way to bypass this capping. Instead of you using Telkom's proxy servers you can use proxies from a site called www.findproxy.com. the one guy has actually downloaded 89gigs of traffic using a proxy from this list of proxy servers. what exactly is the function of this cap if it can still be ignored? [?]

I am sure that there are a number of users who would like to know how to set this up (me for one!)

Me Too,

Are you implying that we can bypass the 'Transparent Proxy' that telkom diverts us all to?
I am not concerned with the cap, but it should solve the problem I have syncronizing my pocketPC.

Cheers
Chris

i don't think this proxy will do the job.
basically you can't connect to anything that is international after capped.

If you use a local proxy server you will be able to bypass the proxy. You should be made aware that most proxy servers are just misconfigured computers that were never ment to route traffic from outside the network. So I would check you terms of service to see if you could get you account suspended.

amazingly enought this works very badly but it works , i found my self a south african proxy and it works pretty well after being capped giving u about 6 kb/s when surfeing internationaly , but downloads dont work .
