Just an update on this.
I ignored everyone's advice to go to Cool Ideas as it was quite far for the person who would have to meet me there to get me back to work. Big mistake.
The place I went to I think was called Cool Connection. They put in Dye (roughly R450), I drove for 2 weeks and brought it back. They couldn't find a leak, so they refilled it again (R450), I drove it for 2 weeks. I took it back and left it their for a day and a half, when I collected it I was told that there was nothing wrong with it.
About 5 weeks later my aircon stopped blowing cold air again.
I took my car to Cool Ideas after remembering the positive reviews from you guys. Their shop looks very professional and very clean! I sat in their airconditioned waiting room and had a cup of coffee and used their wifi for 30 minutes while they refilled the gas with dye (I think it was about R500).
I took the car back today (3 weeks after the dye was put in) for them to check for leaks. not even 5 minutes after looking at it he located the problem and gave me my options.
We agreed he would try and source the needed part for me. As soon as I got back to work i checked my phone and I had a message from him saying he had located the part needed and he had a full quote for me, including labor and freight.
10/10.
If anyone is needing work done on their cars aircon please save yourself time and money and just go straight to them!
