the mini has fokkol in it... i have to put down/in/install everything from scratch

Cool then you're looking at the sub and split route. Don't skimp on the splits, get the best that you can afford even if it means compromising on the sub. Assume space is an issue then you're likely looking at a 4 channel amp, with 2 channels running the splits, and 2 running the sub in bridged mode...

the sub has a built in amp. look at the pioneer link above.

i assume i need a proper crossover?

Speaker:
You want a 6.5" split system
Can't seem to find the starsoud digital 6.5" anymore :(
Here is the 5/6" one's (will need a amp to drive these)

sub:
Flat sub + Amp combo:

or
2 of these in the backboard (don't know if they will fit.)

Will need an extra amp for these.

Oh, here are the limpids:

Amp:

This amp should run 2 split systems.

do you think those limpids will fit in the back board area?

I remember faguely my first clubman years ago the 6x9s barely fit, or didn't fit. can't remember :(

I was thinking of doing 2x 6.5" split systems in my mini with one of those integrated amp-subs.
One set of speakers in the back board and another up front, below the dash. Don't think there is enough space for 6.5" speakers tho so might have to go 6 or 5".
Remember, there is also space below the back seat.
Try and keep the sub out of the boot except if it's 12" or bigger.

With a 2 limpid setup, you won't need subs. (5" splits infront with 2 limpids in the backboard, 4 channel amp.)

Can also add a crossover and some caps :D

below the back seat? hmmm... i remember picking up the seat yesterday, and it was body underneath... but i'll have to give that a second look. will take pics if needed.

I doubt a slim sub will fit under your seat. I bought a slim sub for my old car - it didn't feat under the seat of my old merc.

Hey! You are not Indian, he won't listen to your suggestions.

Dunno....I don't generalise that way...seems a bit racist.

First links for equipment will probably be from Autostyle , guess who owns Autostyle,.

It's it generalized racism asking a white Afrikaans dude for a boerewors receipt ?

Jip, I'll need to upgrade altenator and battery.

a friend who is involved in professional audio, sometimes help people he knows that enter cars into sound competitions.
anyway, we were in my store room looking for something and he saw this thing:

and asked if he could please have it.

it was latter fitted to some car and apparently works like a dream.
dont ask me what it does or how exactly it works, but most yachts have them
