Car Audio recommendations

a friend who is involved in professional audio, sometimes help people he knows that enter cars into sound competitions.
anyway, we were in my store room looking for something and he saw this thing:

and asked if he could please have it.

it was latter fitted to some car and apparently works like a dream.
dont ask me what it does or how exactly it works, but most yachts have them

eek ... 179 pounds

It basically replaces the altenators standard regulator with a 4 stage charger/regulator which is more effiecent and better for charging the battery.

yeah there is alot more than just sound ...your battery alternator

plus your wiring needs to be quality

as well as from the head unit you need to buy those converters if you going to have a tab ...cant remember what its called but it allows you to connect an amp

but yeah a split system with a 10" flat sub would work ..

whats your budget like

a slimline sub is pricey ..looking at +-1k

budget is not the problem. the pioneer slim line i'm looking at is about 1.8k

there is nothing currently in the car, so need to to put wiring in from scratch

i would say go to autostyle ..they are one off the cheapest and choose from there

cause sometimes the sub is useless if placed wrong and if you get wrong wiring

Wait, fsck the sound. How do you fit in an old mini? Would love to see a pic of that... :p

I'm realizing my mistake :(

I'm going with 2x 6.5" split systems with 4 channel amp, flat 10" sub-amp, cross over, equilizer, 8 farad cap, and bluetooth link.
Somehow have to fit all of that into the mini without making it visible ... :p

i don't feel the need for an equalizer.

Helps with fine tuning the audio source...not all audio are equal ...

the problem I just relized is ... equalizer needs to sit infront, everything else will be in the back ... hmmm ....
