Car Audio recommendations

split system is too small ... need at least 6-6.5" to get proper mid range.
5.5" is mid-high range.

sub ... similar to the pioneer, just a lot cheaper.

As for amp and crossover, can only pick that after you have decided on the speakers.
Also, what are you going to use for a audio source?

ja nee... will definitely need to take a look at that. Taking it to have branches and free flow done this afternoon... part of a Supa Quick, will ask them to take a looksee, maybe also recommend a bigger/stronger battery for when the sound comes.

Don't change the battery yet ... but do find out what is the strongest batter you could fit in that space.
Oh, and have them clean those terminals! :p

wiring

You need to add more ground wires on the car. Use welding cable, they are normallly thicker than the 0 gauge audio power cables.
Use proper RCA cables between your audio sources.
Your crossover at this stage will only need to supply the amp for the split systems and the sub.

I was looking at the 5.25" because of the space in the back board... do you think the 6s will fit in there? remember there is the fuel tank to content with as well

The splits need to go in the front with the sub in the back.

And I still think you are making a mistake with that sub thing rather get something like :

I have no idea what would fit to your car but for me I would try and go with a set of 6.5 inch splits in the front (I would go for hertz with your budget) and put the 10 inch free air sub in the parcel shelf.

You dont need anything more than that, no other speakers in the rear just the set of splits the sub and an amp. You can use the tablets digital equalizer for the beginning and see how it works.

I dont have much time at the moment otherwise I would give you more links and stuff its also hard because sound is quite a personal choice.

That sub still needs a box and a amp...

- Excellent for sealed or vented enclosure, or free air applications

And the minis boot will act like an enclosure but there may be better dedicated choices I agree thats why I said something like.

I haven't heard the greatest things about free air subs... but, it might work because of the mini's boot acting as a box

There actually seem to be quite a lot of space in and under the dash. Not sure if you'll et a set of 6.5" in there, but 5.5" should def fit.

what about limpids at the back and split at the front, as opposed to a sub... just a question... i have no idea how well, or not well limpids actually work
