Car below 155 000

Aveo is great, but the hatch really looks pretty bland to me. Sedan has got some more personality but ultimately its the Sonic I would take.

Things like the German style light switch and other bits and pieces borrowed from the Corsa D makes the Sonic one of the best Korean offerings on the market.

Found a polo sedan comfort line with 12000 km at mastercar for 163000. Whats your thoughts on this one? I love it

Probably one of the best looking VWs around if you ask me. I love the way the new Polo Sedan look. But for that money you can get a new Sonic which comes with a lot more.

Thats pretty good for a hot hatch.
I'm paying R620 for a Corsa D and Astra G.
That's still too much IMO. I was quoted R900 on a Toyota 86.

edit: sorry I think you mean combined, in which case that is a good price.

In the same boat: 32, license since '99, uninterrupted insurance since '02, and no claims. Yet I cant get a premium lower than 1k on my '06 Honda Jazz. They give me multiple BS excuses, of course: it's black, it's V-Tec, etc. So I'd hate to see what I'd be charged if I ever buy new. :(

Who are you insuring with? Don't fall for the "direct" marketing crap, brokers are still usually the best way.

You're with the wrong insurance. Get a broker. I pay a grand for my 2012 Honda Ballade.

Change to a different insurance company. I highly recommend Indwe Risk Management. Gave me the best price. And no issues with payouts etc. Just claimed from them 2 weeks ago. Lightning hit my house!!

Started with Outsurance, then Auto & General, and now Discovery. Always been over R1000 though. Whenever I enquire about a lower rate, they all say it's not possible, but threaten to cancel, and they magically pull numbers out of their arses.

How does one go about this broker option?
