Seems like these car buying companies like webuycars and carzar are getting popular judging by their advertising and on webuycars their stock on hand per their website which I presume is what they buy.
I wonder what effect this is having on the traditional trade in process at a car dealer. Surely the car dealers make a tidy profit from trade ins which they might be missing out if their customer sells to these companies instead of trading in. A while ago I did an online valuation at webuycars and they gave an indicative price. I then went to a dealer and they offered me a trade in value lower that Webuycars. When I told the dealer their value was lower the instantly upped the trade in price to 5k more than WBC so I can trade it in with them.
