Hi everyone.

I have a Chev Aveo 2012 model that needs to go for a service (I believe it is the cambelt service).

I just cannot afford the dealership prices anymore.

Can anyone recommend an excellent mechanic in the Vaal Triangle area that can do this without breaking the bank?

Thanks in advance.

You mean the major service.
I can't recommend someone but can give you advice on making sure you do go to an RMI Approved workshop and not just some backyard mechanic

You get mobile mechanics who can come to you and do the service at very affordable prices. I just lost the e mail from some guys I used for my waterpump and thermostat replacement that includes removing the cam belt. Their website was mobile mechanic something.

Yes, agreed. Was looking at Bosch Car Service Amtec in Vereeniging as an option.

Thank you.

For an Aveo? Anyone can fix an Aveo, there are much better things to spend your money on. Sure if OP has money to spend but I got the feeling that he is not rolling in money, those places won't come cheap.

All I would suggest is that he goes with someone who comes strongly recommended, there are private mechanics who are very good at what they do.

But that is just me, if OP is paranoid that someone who does not work from a fancy building is going to break his Aveo then sure, go to an RMI approved place.

Yes, because RMI mechanics can stamp the service book
