Car shaking at high speeds

Could be inner cv joint wear.

I'd take it to another tyre place for a second opinion on the balancing though. It's often done carelessly.

In terms of the tyres, Mercedes did replace them as they thought they were an issue. They’re still in pretty great condition and the tread appears to be wearing evenly. The previous tyres though had the tread worn out on the front-left side of the car.

I don’t think they checked the shocks and suspension stuff.

I’ve been messaging the mechanic at the dealership to check all of this as well when the car next goes on!

Explain the worn out left front tyre? That is not normal at all for only one tyre to be more worn than the others...

I would take that with a pinch of salt...
 
Go to any fitment center rather than the dealership if you can.

especially on a Mercedes, the Pads are deliberately made a bit smaller than the Rotors, so they dont wear out evenly, and leave a ridge on the outside, so it squeals like mad.

Years ago, with my Astra G had the same problem as described by OP. It turns out one of my brake discs (or rotors) had a chip in it. To this day, I dont know how that happened. They changed the discs, and the vibration dissappeared.
 
Hey there! I don’t mean to highjack this thread but I’m having the same issue on my Suzuki Celerio, under similar conditions to yours. Please do share when you’ve found a solution to your problem. I’m hoping your solution will apply to me as well since both our cars are FWD.

Try all the measures he has tried, I am confident your issue would be solved by one of them, the issue is usually wheel balancing.

I think you can rule out warped disks.

Have your rims and tyres checked by an independent place. You can still have a slightly buckled rim, or even a tyre that is not running straight on a rim (I experienced this with a set of brand new continentals years back)

I presume the vibration is experienced while throttle is applied? What happens on a downhill while the car is on idle? By checking this you can try to rule out the drivetrain, engine, gearbox.

If the Vibration is present on idle and throttle it should be a suspension part. Have the control arms, stabilisers links, sway bars etc inspected, check all the bushings too.
 
I had the same problem some time ago. It turned out that I flat spotted my tires one night when I had to brake very hard to avoid running into the back of the car in front of me on the M1 when someone upfront decided to park his car on the centre Armco barrier.
It only went away when I replaced all 4 tires.
 
Since the problem is getting worse over the last few months, I would suspect the tyres.
What brand tyres was fitted?

I once fitted new front discs and it was out of balance out of box. Car would start to shake going 90km/h+.
Surebrake brand, I will not touch another product from them ever
 
They didn’t fix your buckled wheel properly, get new ones
not sure if the rears are wider at the back on your car but if you can put the buckled wheel at the left rear and drive again it will be fine

this... I had the same with a second hand car then I had all the rims overhauled and the vibrations went away
